Angel - Who are your biggest musical influences, & how have they shaped your style?
Kourt - Our biggest influences include bands like Nightwish, Kamelot, Epica, & Lacuna Coil. We all have differing influences, but vocally & musicality wise, we’ve always been drawn to artists who combine storytelling with heavy music. That really shaped Levinia’s sound, we aim for that balance between beauty & aggression, where you can have delicate orchestral moments right before everything explodes into something powerful.
Angel - What’s something you listen to that might surprise people, given the music you make?
Kourt: Musical Theatre. I LOVE a good musical! Celtic Music, Opera, & Carrie Underwood.
Will: Girly pop punk is my jam. Taylor Acorn has gotten like 10X the total play hours on my music library in the last year than like my next 5 metal artists combined.
Dylan - Country Music (1940’s-2000’s), Synthwave, Jazz.
Angel - What’s a non-musical skill, hobby, or obsession in the band that has secretly shaped your music?
Kourt - Storytelling & psychology. Outside of music, We also love analyzing the human motivations, themes, & narrative arcs within literature & folklore. That definitely shapes how we approach lyrics, we don’t just write songs, we try to write emotional journeys. As a band, we sometiemes think visually when we write, almost like we’re scoring scenes instead of just writing tracks.
Angel - Who in the band would survive a zombie apocalypse the longest—& why?
Kourt - Nobody survives a zombie apocalypse, some people just die quicker than others.…We do think our drummer, Dylan would be the last to die. He’s got an arsenal that any zombie horde would fear, & he’s a skilled builder so he’d have a base set up in no time. Probably smart to find him during a zombie attack!
Angel - Where can people see Levinia live in 2026?
Kourt - We’re currently booking shows throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, & San Diego to support our upcoming singles. The best way to see where we’ll be playing is to follow our socials because we announce everything there first.
Angel - What are your favorite venue(s) to play shows at?
Kourt - 1720 in Los Angeles has been really special to us, we’ve played there multiple times & always love the energy & professionalism of that room. We also love venues where the crowd is right up against the stage because that connection with the audience is everything for us.

Angel - How would you describe Levinia as coffee?
Kourt - Levinia would be cream & black coffee, light & dark in the same cup, sweetness dancing with bitterness, melody wrapped in thunder. Different elements swirling together, never canceling each other out, only becoming stronger in the contrast.…Though honestly, we’d probably just be caffeine. Because not all of us (Kourt),even like coffee (yes, we know… extremely unpopular opinion). Haha! But the point still stands, whether it’s coffee, energy drinks, or pure adrenaline, we’re here to keep you awake.
