summary:

Frank doesn’t know it, but he falls in love with Mel the day they meet. Thirteen minutes after his fight with Robby, he breaks down in his car, sobbing so hard that his heart breaks. He checks himself into rehab but relapses on December 26th. He goes back in four days later and stays for 90 grueling, shameful days. Abby and his kids die on a Thursday, two and a half weeks before he returns to The PItt.
