There really isn’t much to do in this Unesco site and ancient capital other than while away the idle hours in sleepy Old Quarter languidly sipping on lattes and watching glorious sunsets on the Mekong River.

The Mekong River is a major river in southeastern Asia. It is the seventh longest in Asia & the twelveth longest in the world. It flows through six countries: China, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The Mekong River has rich biodiversity and is the home of over 1100 freshwater species of fish & giant catfish. Its estimated length is 4,350 km.
