Danny: “I genuinely have no clue how I did it,” Danny said with a careless shrug. “All I know is she’s calm now and not ready to murder anyone who so much as glances at me with interest anymore.”

Meicrackmon (behind him, smiling way too sharply): “He means that he showed me kindness… and that anyone who threatens him will suffer a beautifully efficient downfall.”

Danny: “…See, this is what I mean. Calm. Really calm.”

Vaccine Meicrackmon (tail curling around Danny protectively, tone soft): “I don’t need to be vicious when he’s safe. That’s all that matters.”
