Moluccan Naked-backed Fruit Bat Dobsonia moluccensis

It is found in Indonesia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. Its wings attach at the back along the spine rather than along the sides of the body.

Solomon's Naked-backed Fruit Bat Dobsonia inermis

A fruit bat endemic to the Solomon Islands. It roosts in medium-sized to large caves, although small numbers of individuals have been found in rock overhangs. It forages in primary forests, village gardens and disturbed areas.

Lesser Dawn Bat Eonycteris spelaea

Also known as the cave nectar bat, it is found in primary forests and in disturbed and agricultural areas. It roosts in caves, in larger groups, with some roosts exceeding 50,000 individuals, and it sometimes roosts with other bat species. In some places, this species seems to have adapted well to leafy, semi-urban habitats. It is a very important pollinator of fruit trees, such as durians, and other commercially important crops such as banana and jackfruit.

Sulawesi Flying Fox Acerodon celebensis

The species is endemic to the Sulawesi, Buton, and several smaller Indonesian islands. The Sulawesi flying fox is a frugivore, feeding preferentially on coconuts and breadfruits. Following birth, the baby flying fox, called a pup, develops a strong bond with its mother. Aside from nursing the young, the mother carries her pup out of camp each night in search of food. While flying, the pup holds onto the nipple with its adapted, curved teeth and grabs onto the mother's waist with their feet.

Black-capped Fruit Bat Chironax melanocephalus

The range includes Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi. They have been recorded from lowland mixed dipterocarp forest.
