This is one of the few matches in Round 2 with multiple new contestants in the Round! This time, we're testing some metal!
At 942.9kg, Mega Metagross is the heaviest Mega Evolution of them all, and one of the coldest and most ruthless too! This Mega- famously wielded by Steven Stone- was already known for its great intellect, with that only multiplying as mega evolution energy flows through its body. This is due to the fact that Mega Metagross is actually the conjoined form of a Metagross, a Metang, and two Beldum, all fighting together with their brains linked and working in tandem. This allows Mega Metagross to calmly assess each battlefield, working out the best path to victory, no matter how cruel. With its boosted Attack and greatly boosted Speed, it can power through just about any opponent, with its Tough Claws ability ensuring its strikes that make contact do extra damage! And if it deems victory impossible? Well, this sore loser will dig its claws into an opponent and attempt to explode! I personally wouldn't want to get into a fight with this Pokémon, no matter what...
Mega Aggron is also pretty damn heavy too! At 395kg of metal, I'd avoid getting squished by this Pokémon, especially when it's powered by 140 Attack. More impressive than that though, is its huge Defense stat- 230 points, making it tied with Mega Steelix and Shuckle for the highest in the series! And Mega Aggron is arguably even more physically defensive than either of those two, thanks to its Filter ability, reducing super effective damage and allowing it to stay on the battlefield for longer and dish out more hits. The iron that once acted as partial armour has become pure steel, and covers the entirety of Mega Aggron, causing it to lose its Rock type. It may not be quite as heavy as its opponent here, or as fast or intelligent, but if anything could withstand the brutal attacks of Mega Metagross- well, Mega Aggron certainly has a shot!
