The Galata neighborhood offers such an impressive view 🇹🇷

The fake mediavol tower in the garden ☀️☀️
Torre medievale, bordo del foro romano, Roma, 2019.
One of my goals after a long visit to Rome in 2009 was to learn about this tower. Although it is at the edge of the Forum, it is decidedly not in the style of the Roman Empire. The tower was a medieval military addition to the city and served as a watchtower comparable to medieval towers in other Italian cities like Bologna, Orvieto or the famous ones in San Gimignano.

One more video of the meditiation illustration and then I’ll stop! ;)
So... recently I started to learn how to work with Blender. Initially I wanted to use it as an alternative to Adobe After Effects, but after following a tutorial covering the bases of this program... well, we can say I went a little overboard with my previous intentions ^^;
So I began creating this model to see how good I became with the program after a month spent following tutorial, and for this I've decided to create the miniature of a tower meant for a tabletop game or a strategy game... and honestly? I think it came out pretty good, all things considered! Of course, for some things I stopped and looked for specific tutorials about (like the archway and the door), but then I've assimilated these lessons and used them for creating additional models on my own. I might get back to work on it and improve it, but for now I consider it complete.
Feel free to tell me what you think about and, if you have any suggestions or a tutorial to check out, do not hesitate to hit me up!
Oh, by the way, the textures I've used here are all from this website. If you're looking for some free textures for your projects, then you could try this!
Water Tower Sketch
Sketch of the Water Tower, a wonderful, medieval style landmark from my hometown in Romania. Inaugurated in 1914, it survived the two world wars and today is a place for all arts and culture.
