So, my crosses are legal!

I thought a simple line with a row of crosses would be a lovely decoration for a peasant tunic and theeeennnn I attended a talk on embroidery of the twelfth century that outlines that crosses were typically "caged", or outlined at all four sides.

I swear I can never find my seem ripper!

I have now convinced myself I was right in the first place and bottom hem was the one that was wrong, but I've resigned myself to at least just have matching hems. If all of them are inside out then it's fine and I want to stop caring now.

Introcution

Here's me!

I used to reenact the English Civil War. I joined Historia Normannis in September, it's a Reenactment group for the period between the battle of Hastings and the signing of the Magna Carta.

I'm 28, gender non conforming, and bi. I study Social Policy. I speak Welsh and English fluently, and speak passable French, and Norwegian, and I'm learning Polish and Japanese. I'm learning Polish because that's where one branch of my family comes from.

I joined Historia Normannis for the fighting, and stayed for the sewing and the memes.

These pictures are of my female impression. I like having the choice and I was so grateful to be a woman that day because I'd injured my leg in a foursome. XD

Weapons

I almost skipped this one, as my Normannis weapons are kind of in a complicated state of existence. On the left is me welding a knife during a mummery and on the right is me playing with swords in the garden with my friend. I'm welding a bastard sword and my friend has my falchion and heater shield - all of which are not ok for the reenactment group I'm a part of.
