Quick tip from a guy going into the medical field: you donβt need to memorize every single condition or medication or treatment. Just remember what the root word(s) means and you can translate from there.
An example: Jamie doesnβt know what Hepatomegaly is, but he does know the root words.
Hepat(o): liver
Megaly: enlargement of
So, using his knowledge of the root words, he can figure out what Hepatomegaly is without memorizing the word.

Manual blood pressure is hell on earth
Why are the synthetic cadavers in my anatomy class so caked up
What served as your premed course? How did you enjoy your time during college? What made you commited to pursue med school?
Your blog looks amazing and you share so many interesting topics :D

@stellar-riri
hiya :D aw tysm hehe ur so kind <3
where i am (jordan) there is no premed u start med school straight out of highschool lmao. i suppose the first year counts as a prep year or its equivalent at least;
theres the basic foundational sciences (anatomy physio histology & organic chem my beloathed lol) then general courses (pharma genetics patho biostatistics etc) and biochem (and python eugh) during the summer term.
ooh it sounds a bit dramatic lol but my uni experience has been so full of grief (and love) theres been so many ups and downs and im grateful for all the learning experience both academic and life lessons alike, thats kinda what its all about no? med school has humbled me too im very blessed to be where i am alhamdulillah π
what makes me enjoy uni is the cafeteria i wont lie lmao its seen me at my highest and lowest π i think of my grandfathers (and family in general) also and how much they were proud of me and it makes the pain a bit more bearable ig, to think that im doing it for them too.
funny story med school was never on my mind me and my parents were like thank u but also no thank u lol thats a very long road its not for me i said. little did i know XD it was a whole thing what with admissions and acceptance emails (i graduated 2021 so we were more or less still affected by covid and only now coming out of lockdown) but the first day of lectures i thought to myself yeah okay fine this is where i belong. and so started my epic journey hah
