Clary is named after her great grandmother who is doing amazing. Great Grams Clarisse and Great Grandpa Joe still live in the castle but are often off vacationing somewhere new 

Clary is really close with her father and mother, but is hiding a part of herself from them so never feels like she’s totally open

Being first born, she is first to inherit the crown, so she has been training since she was born to be Queen. 

Clary is gay, and hasn’t told a soul about her sexuailtiy in fear the paralment will not let her be Queen. She heard stories about how they were when her mother didn’t want to marry a man to rule as queen. So she could only imagine what would be said if she came out. Clary has decided she just will never find love and focus on her duty to her country. 

She is very much like her mother in the sense she is goofy and clumsy, but has many traits of her Great Grams in the way she is proper and knows how to impress the public.
