Banana Oat Milk Protein Shake
1-2 cups oat milk
2 tablespoons peanut butter , or almond butter
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1Â scoops vanilla protein powder of choice
 ice, optional
Add all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth. You can add more milk for a thinner consistency or more ice for a thicker consistency.
For the oat milk I used Oat-ly Barista Edition and for the protein powder I used Dymatize ISO-100 in Gourmet Vanilla but any brand of each will do!

I was scrolling and minding my own business the other day when I came across the idea that Soylent (the meal replacement), is viewed as a drink for assholes. A look through the tag seems to confirm it. Soylent is associated with tech bros, crypto bros, and incels, and the creator is problematic.
This made me really sad, because I have been drinking the stuff for years. I view it as kind of a life-saver, due to my ARFID. (By the by, that is a much better name for what ails me than Everything Tastes Like Garbage Syndrome, which is what I was calling it before.) Soylent keeps the malnutrition gremlins away, keeps my entire diet from being Stoufer’s mac and cheese. I drink at least one a day, usually for breakfast. I take it on trips so I don’t have to starve if there are no restaurants I can eat at. I drink the original flavor. It’s the cheapest and it tastes pleasantly bland, like cereal milk. I know it’s not perfect and I am very disappointed that it was invented by a jerk, but it helps me. It helps me so much. I hope this doesn’t make anyone think less of me.
