when day met night.

Impossible. Completely, unmistakably, surely impossible.
The mage stared down at the contents of the unusual package that he had received. What was going on? Was this a game? Whoever did this, what were they trying to accomplish? Or, was it a sign? Is he alright? Is he still alive? The questions rapidly formed and swirled around his mind, rendering him dizzy. He stumbled back and clenched the pendant tighter in his fist as he let himself collapse onto his couch. Dongyul always had this with him. Dongwoo knew, because he was the one that had given it to his brother so many years ago. He had it with him when he was taken.. So why was it sent to him?
Why?
Why?
Why?
He tried to swallow back the lump that was now forming in his throat as one of his hands flew up to grab his head. After all of these years with no sign whatsoever, he now has this. It’s something, at least. But... What’s the reason for him getting this? He had no choice but to look further into it. As soon as he felt as though it was drawing close to the time to give it a rest, this occurs and he now is faced with the reality that he can’t give up. He still needed answers. He still needed his brother. The boy took several, long, drawn out breaths before standing to his feet and slipping the pendant into his pocket. He needed some air. He could think about all of this while he walked.
Once he’d successfully managed to leave his apartment complex, he started to slowly walk down the streets of Busan, eyes fixed on the ground, only glancing up from time to time to ensure he was going the correct way and not going to hit into anything. He was soon thankful that he had been watching the ground, being that a man who had been walking in front of him had dropped a photograph when taking something out of his wallet, and he hadn’t even noticed. Dongwoo quickly picked it up and began following after the stranger so that he could return it. He quickened his pace once he noticed him turn into a building. An art gallery, to be exact. As soon as he pushed through the door, he scanned the room for the person he needed to be returning this to. He assumed this was a picture of his child or other family member, so he knew he’d want it back. He approached the other with a warm smile and held it up to him. “I don’t think you noticed that this fell from your wallet as you were walking out there. I wanted to get it back to you.” The man happily thanked him and he gave him a nod before turning to leave. It was then that he got curious. A piece of art caught his eye and he walked closer to it. Why did it intrigue him so? Dark eyes carefully studied the wonderful work and he lingered there for several minutes. His gaze traveled down to the signature and the name...
Suzy. Suzy? Suzy.
He tore his eyes away from the picture and turned on his heel as he began looking all over the room. He began walking as he searched for... something. What was he looking for? Still, he wasn’t paying enough attention to where he was going because he roughly hit into someone and reached out to grab the other’s arm to make sure they kept their balance. He opened his mouth to apologize, but no words came out as he met the gaze of the girl he’d ran into. He continued staring into her eyes for several long moments, unable to place just how he knew her or why he felt so connected to her already. Certainly, this was a stranger... Right? He wanted to look away but something felt as though it was physically preventing him from doing so.
