📍 Boulder Lake Loop
This might have been one of the most fun hikes I've done all year. It was gorgeous 😍 Scenery changes the entire way and lots to see around every turn. We hit 3 different lakes too. About 8 miles, 4 of that in snow 🤦 That was the only drawback, but it really wasn't that horrible. We had awesome weather and it didn't start to rain until we reached the car. There's more hikes in this area that I'll be putting on my list for the next time we visit!

📍 Goose Creek Falls
What a great little hike to a waterfall in the woods ❤️

Vacation: day 1! We walked almost 5 miles this morning so decided to take the e-scooters on a trail up in the mountains in the afternoon so we weren't completely exhausted on day 1.
The beginning portion of the logging road was totally fine, but as we climbed the road got so rough. Huge chunks of railroad rock for miles 🥴 We were pointed towards a mountain lake, but I snagged a tree branch with my scooter. I caught the wiring harness for the front motor and she was dead. Almost 6 miles into the woods 🤦
So much for not being exhausted on day 1! Some portions were downhill on the way back, which is great. But, the rock still posed a challenge in keeping momentum. Jose's scooter ran out of juice on the way back too 😂 Thankfully we had enough daylight to get back to the car, it just took so much longer than expected and we pushed those stupid things for most of the way.
Hopefully it's an easy splice and we can try again tomorrow (on a different trail, cuz this lady isn't going through that rock again)
attended a zoom funeral this morning for a lady from churchs daughter. haven’t been to church in a long while. just needed to be there, she was only 29 and drugs took her life. the same age as my oldest and it hit home hard. just like that, we are gone…
