all the talk about Sex & the City episodes in Paris & thinking about my own travels there in 2008 made me curious if there was a Paris in SL. i found a 1920's version of Paris & decided to check it out. just as when i visited Venice this SIM was vacant of other players... today it is just me, my red dress & Paris.

SM tells me he missed me & is happy i am online on this friday night when i would usually be out & about with my friends IRL. he wants to see me & sends me a teleport request to join him in a place called the sandbox. i accept and appear in front of him... thinking yes he is hot ...topless with tats & leather pants as he tells me how beautiful me & my dress are while going into every detail about his appreciation of my beauty this evening from head to toe. he moves closer to hug & kiss me as we both say how nice it is to see each other again. SM asks me where i am located & i am unsure if i want to get to know these details about one another but answer him after some hesitation. i am actually surprised at the geographical reach of this game when he tells me that he is in Holland. as we chat our avi's walk through some grass area to a spot where he stops,  i am watching his avi's arm twist back in the air extruding a line of red & or white orbs as a light wood ikea cube-like platform appears before us. he tells me that the "sandbox" is a place to go where anyone can build with in this SIM. he tells me to sit on the cube he created, as soon as i sit i begin to lift off of the ground, going up up up into the clouds stopping somewhere in the middle of the virtual vast blue sky where he arrives sitting atop a similar cube. he tells me that talking bout his building skill could never compare to experiencing them first hand as he creates a dance floor-like matching light wood platform slightly below our feet. telling me to stand up as i land on this square platform in the sky with him joining me. suddenly a set of pink & blue orbs appear as he asks me to click on the pink one, we begin to dance slowly together to the music as i am impressed with his creativity on this virtual date, the platform surface is suddenly covered with an image of both he & i that he had taken on our first date together which i thought was super sweet & thoughtful. i, like carrie bradshaw have wondered what ever happened to romance in dating... maybe it is that he's a non american. maybe we are not too far off from Demolition Man's concept of intimacy in relation to how cyber sex plays out in SL. dates like this are just not possible IRL. i am extremely complimentary toward SM as tells me that he is enjoying showing me his building skills while securing the opportunity to spend more time with me here. of course, he doesn't stop there... as multicolor glowing flames are placed around us we dance among the clouds, the platform below us now invisible while flirty chatting as the sky changes from day, to night, to dawn. we cannot believe how fast these magical hours have passed, it is now 7am & i have been up all night... needless to say...sleep has been interrupted since the beginning of this project as i toggle between RL & virtual vacation. we kiss goodbye as i leap off of the platform dropping 500 ft floating through virtual space to a safe landing below where i teleport back to my favorite little bungalow by the sea to rest up because i never know what will happen here & for the first time in a long time, that prospect is exciting.
