((Hey! Hello! This blog has been rather inactive, hasn’t it? I still think about this blog and Velma sometimes, and I may come over and visit this blog every now and again!
I don’t promise activity right now as my brain is on Super Paper Mario (and Nastasia) and it won’t end anytime soon, but I have been playing New Horizons a bit more since the direct! Here’s a bonus Velma image for you, it’s been a long time! 💗))

Mayor Kat: *excitedly waves hello* Hey, Static! I heard about you and Bangle's wedding from Velma! She's playing the organ for you two, and I wanted to say congrats!! *smiles* I don't know if we've met though, but I'm Kat from Stardust! -askvelmathegoat
(Static) Thank you very much! Nick’s told me a bit about you as well, krzzt. It’s nice to finally meet you, Kat!
Yeah! I asked her to play for us, i figured if a friend played for us it would be that much more meaningful.
Come on Anne, if you're going to be stuck as Bangle, you should be dressing AS Bangle! Go have a little dressup party or clothes shop thing with the actual Bangle!
[ Though it sounds fun but I don’t think I’d be able to use the clothes again after this is over. Growf.]
Mayor Kat: *her eyes sparkle* Wow, you're a phoenix!! I'm getting ahead of myself though, my name's Kat, from the island of Stardust! I think magic and stuff is out of this world, don't you think? *she wonders if she should tell Phoebe about her own magic powers from the stars* - askvelmathegoat
(Phoebe) *bewilderment* Your eyes are keen, Kat. *agreement* You know your phoenixes. My name’s Phoebe. Phoebe the Phoenix! *sheepishness* ...Saying it that way sounds a bit silly, being an alliteration, dontcha think, sparky?
Stardust sounds like such an awesome name! And you’re totally right, between me, Static, *mischief* and all those anons on the internet, *pride* magic is totally sweet stuff, and it’s all around us!

((Today makes 5 years since I have created this blog. 5 years since Velma had been brought to life and you all have gotten to meet her and know just who she is to me. 5 years since I first met all kinds of online friends, and some are still some of my best friends even to this day.
I never thought that this blog would make it this far, but it did! Throughout my time I have learned all kinds of things, how to grow and how to change, and also how to character build, write and draw. This blog started out rough but as I found my footing, Velma did too! Velma grew from this flat character to someone that I can remember and truly think is real, and not just that, now she is joined by Mayor Kat and her older sister, Lydia!
Thank you all for helping me learn so much, and thank you to my friends who have encouraged me to keep going and doing the things I do for this blog! Thank you for sending questions, liking my posts, reblogging, and just all that you do for me and the blog! But most importantly, thank you for celebrating these 5 years with me, and I hope that there will be many more! 🎉
Happy 5th anniversary to Velma Knottingham, and to this blog!))
January 14th, the day after January 13th. Every day was another day Velma spent in the island of Stardust, an idyllic place where the stars light up the sky at night. But, lately she found herself worrying if she was forgetting something. Was she feeling sentimental for memories long ago? Was she homesick for Riverglen, the place where she grew up and called home? She shook her head, despite finding herself being sentimental, that wasn't what she was forgetting. But it had to be something. Her thoughts diverted towards Kat, lately it seemed like she was excitedly rushing to prepare for some occasion coming ahead.
As she walked around, she wondered where Kat could be as she was curious of what could she be preparing for. She knew that Kat had magical powers coming from the stars, so she could potentially be anywhere, but she hoped that she would be on the island somewhere. The usual spots she usually found Kat residing were empty, and the lights were out inside her house. Velma was confused and worried, looking around again for Kat. "K-Kat..? W-where are y-you, blih..?" She asked quietly.
As her thoughts began to race, she began to wonder if the 14th was an extremely busy day and if Kat was stacked up with work to do for the island. It was then she turned around, only to see Kat herself! It took her by surprise, more so than a sudden hello. "Velma!! I need you to come with me! It's important!" Kat exclaimed, excitedly running to their destination.
"B-b-blih…!!" Velma needed a few seconds to calm down after the initial surprise of Kat suddenly appearing. After those few seconds, Velma then nervously nodded as she followed Kat's quick footsteps. "W-where are w-we going, blih…?" She wondered, looking around. The resident services could now be seen at a distance, and that was where all the important things happened.
"Just come with me! We're almost there!" Kat then ran up to the door to her house, as Velma followed close behind. As they then went inside, the lights were out and everything seemed to be dark. Then like magic, the lights came on. Confetti danced in the air as Kat skipped around happily, along with a guest that Velma had least expected to be around in Stardust. It was Lydia, her older sister!
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VELMA!!" Kat and Lydia exclaimed in unison.
It was then that once more she was taken by surprise, but her eyes were suddenly overflowing with tears, but they weren't ones of sadness. They were of joy, of happiness. There were so many questions that she now had, but yet she found the answer to what she was forgetting the whole time. It was her birthday! Was this really all for her though? The balloons, the cake, the confetti, the gifts, even a visit from Lydia?
"B-blih..!! I-I mean.. I-is this a-all for m-me, blih…? I-I love i-it so m-much, blih..!!" There were still so many questions but only one managed to make it out, joyful tears still flowing from her eyes. She was blushing as well, knowing that today was the day where all the attention was on her. It was embarrassing but at the same time it made her so happy, a feeling hard to explain.
"Yeah! It's your birthday Velma! You deserve it!" Mayor Kat giggled happily, glad that the surprise was a success.
She smiled wide, as Lydia then came over towards Velma to give her a hug. "Fa la la~ she's right, you know. January 14th isn't just any day, it's my little sister's birthday!" She said, as Velma then hugged her back. "I wanted to celebrate it in the best way I can, and it all turned out to be a success thanks to your friend right there." Lydia gestured towards Kat.
It made her so happy to be able to see Lydia again, despite it being unexpected. But how did she arrive here without her knowing? "B-but.. h-how did y-you manage t-to come o-over, blih..? I-I thought y-your teaching s-started back b-by now.. I-I hope i-it wasn't t-too much t-trouble, blih..!" Velma worried, as she cared about her sister and wanted her to be able to follow her dreams.
"I have had my share of students these past weeks, but recently I found myself with free time just in time for your birthday. It made me overjoyed that I was able to see you again, and so soon after Toy Day, fa la la~!" Lydia then looked at Velma, "It's not too much trouble to celebrate your special day, it makes me very happy to celebrate with my sister in person."
"I-I'm so.. I-I'm so h-happy, blih…!"
Now it was time to open the gifts! The gifts were strewn about on the table, which also had a red tulip, and the main centerpiece, the birthday cake. Kat and Lydia eagerly watched, as Velma began to decide on which gift to open. The gifts made her very happy, if not extremely nostalgic for past birthdays of hers. Her 13th birthday gave her the gift of a diary, her 25th birthday gave her the gift of finding her own wings within herself. That little bit of courage was what led her here today.
The pastel pink gift with a star pattern was Kat's gift, and Velma opened it to find a beautiful blue dress inside. "T-thank you K-Kat, blih.. I-it's so p-pretty.. l-like it c-came out o-of a s-story… I-I hope t-to wear i-it sometime, blih..!" She responded, holding the dress close to her as she smiled at Kat.
Then she opened the pastel purple gift with the music note pattern, which was from Lydia. Inside were many piano music sheets, filled with new songs that Velma had never learned to play before. "T-these pieces s-seem like t-they sound b-beautiful.. s-so many n-new notes t-to learn, blih.." She smiled at both Kat and Lydia, happy with her gifts. "T-thank you f-for the g-gift of m-music..!"
January 14th was not just the day after January 13th. Now she remembered that January 14th was her special day full of memories she held so dear and close to her heart. January 14th was the birthday of many others, but it was also the birthday of Velma Knottingham. She was filled with so much joy in her heart, that it lead to even more tears of joy, as she blew out the candles to yet another year of her life.
