Baby Storme - Sunglasses At Night

Yeah, you know i like my covers, right ? Well, this one isn't quite a Corey Hart cover, but really she made it hers and i like that !! I first heard about Baby Storme here on tumblr, actually, about two years ago (I think it was the post with This city is a Graveyard), but only went to actually find her music this year, and it was good, you should look her up !

Sunglasses at Night was single (no link cause neither discogs nor wikipedia are up to date apparently) released in 2023

Krypteria - Na Ga Ja

This actually is the korean version of No More Lies, but i prefer the korean version ! The band is German, but Ji-in is Korean and i think it makes for a good musical mix !!

Na Ga Ja was on the Evolution Principle EP, released in 2006

La Bouche - Forget Me Nots

I went through a binge of like... I guess EDM/eurodance, this year, but mostly i focussed on the 90's and early 2000's cause that's what I remembered hearing on the radio as a kid, usually in the evening, in the car, when we were on the way back late from an outing. While I did remember La Bouche in general, I didn't know/remember that one, but she started singing and i was like oooooh Men in Black ! (which in turn got me looking for the original btw) and it's been regularly stuck in my head since.

OCQ - 九割の蟻はそんなもの (Kyuuwari no ari wa sonna mono)

So i was downloading some Shilfee so I could complete the discography, and also because i wanted to see if I could find Chichiro in at least 320 kbps. I didnt, but what i did get, is a message from the user i was downloading from. They suggested i looked into OCQ (which is another Furukawa Tomo project), and this person didn't know it, but I was smack in the middle of my MAYOHK binge and their suggestion came on fucking point, omgoooth !!! I think its the first time im told i should listen to something and that actually 100% agree lmao

Pierre Lapointe - Dans Nos Veines

This song made me feel like the cover of the album ngl. It hit me hard and its so hard to fucking sing, he pronounces everything so fucking fast, but like holy shit. It does sound/feel like the same kind of storm of emotions that the lyrics also convey (i'm not translating that, but google should do a decent job at doing that :3). Like you know, when you fall in love and the yearning is being replaced by NRE ? Yeah its that.

Schwarz Stein - Blanc Dehors

When I finally put my hands on DEMIGOD, it was indeed white outside, and there was something about listening to this song while walking in the snow. It was a bit reminiscent of Ophelia, too, tbh. Both being composed by Hora, i kinda just take them as sister pieces :3

Tarja - Diva

Ok, this song made me go re-read what was the drama when she was kicked out of Nightwish and how they felt the need to lie about her being a diva instead of saying they wanted a softer sound, and then I came to learn that Annette Olzon was also fired cause she got pregnant and therefore refused to tour abroad while pregant and tbh... At this point idk that I can care much about fucking Nightwish anymore. (though it makes me wonder what Floor Jansen's contract look like, i mean they didnt fire her cause she got pregnant twice, so uh...) Meanwhile, Tarja's doing what she wants and its usually good. Particularly if you like christmas music lol (i dont lmao)

When I went to check what was the first song i listened to in 2025, I realized that the first 3 songs i listened to already were in a rotation, so this was the 4th song i listened to in '25 lol

ZIZ - With FU

Now with Mayohk releasing their album, of course i had to not only complete my Hora discography, but also go for Közi's. It made me realize that i knew of Ziz but had not really listened to them yet. Not gonna lie, I hear the Malice Mizer behind a lot of their song, but its particularly present in this one !!

Sometime earlier this summer, i started listening to a lot of Hora and Közi related project, and then i realized that the whole Schwarz Stein and friends tour was going on in South America, and then i found the MAYOHK album, and, well, i did not slow down on listening to Hora and Közi related projects :D

As usual : Song titles link to individual mp3 file download. Link to download all 5 6 songs conveniently zipped up for you at the bottom of the post.

For this one rotation, i will go by chronological order of release, as opposed to the usual artists in alphabetical order, as i feel it makes more sense :)

of course this starts with Malice Mizer, what are you expecting.

Malice Mizer - COLOR ME BLOOD RED

When it became obvious that i would make a Hora + Közi oriented rotation, well, i started with the MAYOHK song that's at the bottom, but color me blood red was the next one to come to mind !

VELVET EDEN - 蜘蛛女 (kumo onna)

I don't know that anyone expected to see Velvet Eden here, but hiiiii, VE is pretty much how Hora started his career :) (or if you were wondering what Dada was rambling about with the "of course Kaya-kun's style is better suited for Hora-kun" when he finally decided to listen to Schwarz Stein, 20 years after the fact lol)

Közi - INCOHERENTS

I was trying to explain the Közi flare in MAYOHK, and this song is how i did it 🤔. Good ol' Közi non-sense, french included !

Eve of Destiny - Logos

If Hora has Schwarz Stein, Közi had Eve of Destiny ! Garden for a Zealot, from the same mini-album, could also have worked here, tbh.

Logos is from nervous and innocence, released in 2005

Közi - ISM (Hora RMX)

I think this was Közi and Hora's first collaboration !

ISM (Hora remix) is from Közi solo ver : E//+Z, which is comprised of various remixes of Közi's solo career songs, and was released in 2014
