May was overwhelmed. She had forgotten how much energy it had taken to be a part of a team of people and even more so a community. Surviving out there and protecting the kids from the zombies took a lot of energy as well, but it was different. Socializing was exhausting.
But after dropping the kids off at school, May needed to occupy her time doing something. She was getting restless. She had tried her luck in the gym, but that too was over-crowded. So, when she stumbled upon a make-shift practice range and only saw one person there, she decided to retrieve her gun and some dummy rounds from the safety locker and check it out.
Upon entering, May realized who the man there was and she smirked. She took her stance and shot at the target in front of him. She hit the bulls-eye, missing the man by only an inch. She hoped she scared him. He deserved it.
They didn’t have any automatic recalls here for targets. Easy enough to recover or make up some simple silhouette for people to practice on. The last round of folks managed to make holes all over the place. So yeah most of them needed recovering. Clint made his way through them, purple hearing aids tucked in his pocked for the moment. All the loud noises earlier he took them out. Sure he wore earmuffs just to be like the rest of them but no point in putting them back in when he was alone.
So he didn’t hear anything. Just straightening out things and suddenly a hole in the middle of the new bulls-eye he placed. Scowling he turned around to see who violated range rules so badly. When they lowered their gun he pulled his purple hearing-aids out and put them in. “What the fuck was that. I don’t care what you are shooting you are going to teach the newbies bad habits that way.”
Scared, no because she wanted to actually kill him, May already would have. “I was just putting up new ones. Did you have to ruin one?”
