I've been mulling about this since yesterday but how the hell could you get accountability and transparency in government if you're going to push back on putting a politician through our fucking justice system like what's your game plan exactly???
Besides, seeing some of these protesters bring their entire families including literal toddlers with buses and setting up picnic spots in the streets just so they can "speak out" against the "injustice" of giving a politician a plunder charge is just absurd??? Are you fucking serious right now?????
Hearing more news about the school shooting in Tacloban's has been keeping the story fresh on my mind and it reminded me how when I was in high school about a decade ago, we had these clipboards that were posted up with information that told students what to do in emergency situations and one of them was what to do during an active shooter and genuinely thinking that would be very unlikely to happen in the Philippines since what we deal with were mostly bomb threats and not school shootings we often heard about from the US, but now with more and more incidents being reported of kids getting radicalized by violent movements online, it turns out those guides were actually extremely necessary.
Rest in Peace Joyancee Badoria Sapara, Ayessa Nicole Dazo, and Chris Lorenz Fabian, as well as a salute to Fabian who held the door close to keep the shooters out of the classroom to keep them from killing his classmates. I hope the families get justice and hopefully this horrible tragedy would never happen again.
A school shooting happened in Tacloban's San Jose National High School that killed three and injured 13 yesterday which I cannot emphasize enough is HIGHLY UNUSUAL for the Philippines. Although gun violence is common here and it's not unheard of for younger people to be involved in them, a school shooting in the style of the US is not something that happens here often if at all so this is highly disturbing.
Most gun violence between students often happen on an individual going after another specific individual or small group not opening fire on their classmates in such a public way, so as horrible as the former is, seeing this latter happen is disconcerting and is hopefully a trend that won't catch on here.
You guys wanna see what, in my opinion, is the worst flag I've seen that has come from the Philippines?
Behold the flag of San Enrique, Iloilo!
I... I don't even know if I have the spoons to create an image description for... all this...

Sound off in the comments/reblogs what your favorite municipal/city flag from a Filipino town/city is, mine is a toss-up between Bustos, Bulacan and Cavite City
What's your favorite provincial flag? Mine's either Bukidnon's or Cagayan's
Every now and then I look up the city/town and province flags of different places in the Philippines and I'm always caught so off-guard about one thing or another like why does the flags of the towns/cities of Aklan just... look like that?
