“Did you move the remote?”      “No.”      “…Then why is it in the laundry basket?”      “Ask your son.”

“… It's too quiet.”      “You just had to say it, didn't you?”

“He just said ‘da’ again.”      “That basically counts as ‘dada,’ right?”      “He was looking at the dog.”      “…The dog doesn’t get to win this.”

“Your daughter won't let go of the spoon.”      “Oh, so when she is trouble she is my daughter and when old grannies pinch her cheek she is your angel?”      “You and her are equally possessive over food, so yes. Your daughter.”

“Look at him go! Crawling like he's on a damn mission!”      “A mission to where?”      “Danger. Always danger.”

“She just said no.”      “No?”      “No.”      “We've just entered the stubborn era, haven't we?”

“Why are we whispering?”      “So he doesn't find us and come running.”      “We are living in fear in our own home.”

Saturday, May 2nd is the Nerd Inferno release signing at JHU Comics in Staten Island, NY. It's also Free Comic Book Day. I'll be signing copies of Nerd Inferno and the Beasts of Burden omnibus editions, as well as other comics I've worked on, and folks can bring whatever they want me to sign that I worked on.
