Max’s actually started way back in 1945 just after World War II and was named after its founder, Maximo Gimenez, as it catered mostly to American troops stationed in Manila. Today, Max’s Restaurant is known as The House That Fried Chicken Built, and its branches can be seen in almost every mall and major commercial establishment nationwide. I visited its original branch in Scout Tuason last week just to try this new adobo creation. Let’s see if it can compete with everyone’s favorite Max’s Fried Chicken.
