"Second," Max continues forcefully, "You're so dramatic, you should have to walk home, actually, if you're going to be–"
"Fine, I will," Charles juts his chin out.
"Fine. I can’t believe I’m in love with someone who likes Cocoa Puffs. I hope you enjoy walking home weighed down by the knowledge that you’re eating trash for breakfast," Max huffs, swiveling the cart around.
He’s halfway through deciding whether a 5-pound bag of peas for 7 euros or a 10-pound bag for 15 euros is a better deal, when he realizes what he’s said.
Or, when Max first tells Charles he's in love with him, it's 3 a.m and they're in the middle of the cereal aisle in a 24-hour grocery store.
