Even though it is still hard to believe, our tour of the great and diverse Russia ended after 26 days, 16 concerts and 11,000 kilometers. We did it! Most probably we were the first band from Poland to travel by car from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. From shore to shining shore! We have met many wonderful people on this tour, whom we will not forget. We have experienced an adventure that is hard to tell in a few sentences. That's why we have some credits instead. Nothing would be possible without the involvement and support of the guys from Matushka, a great St. Petersburg band with whom we shared the scene and space in the van. Thanks for titanic work to Denis Siggi Alekseev, who organised whole tour and carried us with his famous Gazelle of death through great cities, forest strips and wilderness, right into clubs, garages, rehearsals and crazy independent places. We would like to thank the organizers of our concerts and the Russian audience, who with their enthusiasm gives a kick to play music. We could not have made it better. See you next time!
Choć wciąż ciężko w to uwierzyć, nasza trasa po wielkiej, różnorodnej Rosji zakończyła się po 26 dniach, 16 koncertach i 11 tysiącach kilometrów. Zrobiliśmy to! Najprawdopodobniej byliśmy pierwszym zespołem z Polski, który przejechał samochodem dystans z Petersburga do Władywostoku. Spotkaliśmy na tej trasie wielu wspaniałych ludzi, których nie zapomnimy. Przeżyliśmy przygodę, o której ciężko opowiedzieć w kilku zdaniach. Dlatego zamiast wywodów mamy podziękowania, bo nic z tego nie byłoby możliwe, gdyby nie zaangażowanie i wsparcie od chłopaków z Matushki - świetnego petersburskiego zespołu, z którym dzieliliśmy scenę i miejsca w vanie. Wreszcie, nie byłoby tej wyprawy bez tytanicznej roboty Denisa Alekseeva, który to wszystko zorganizował, a do tego woził nas swoją słynną Gazelą Śmierci przez wielkie miasta, leśne ostępy i pustkowia, prosto do klubów, garaży, salek prób i innych niezależnych miejscówek. Dziękujemy organizatorom naszych koncertów i rosyjskiej publiczności, która swoim entuzjazmem daje kopa do grania muzyki. Nie mogliśmy trafić lepiej. Do następnego razu!

Got to talking with a fellow seminarian today about English in Orthodoxy, and discussing options for words we commonly say in Greek or Russian. The one we got stuck on most was Matushka. Taking the English from the various traditions would be Mother, Mama, Sister, Priestess, Priest’s Wife, Lady, or Lady Mother. We didn’t love any of them, but “Mother” is starting to grow on me. Anybody else put any thought into this, or just Orthodork Seminarians?
