Tom's smile stretched so wide that, rather than being reassuring, it gave him a grotesque appearance, like a predator mocking its wounded prey. Edd backed away as far as he could, but Tom didn't move an inch. He had gotten exactly the reaction he wanted.

"I understand why you're confused. Time is supposed to be linear. When you move forward or backward, you're jumping horizontally. It doesn't matter how much you make the thread of time vibrate by changing things here and there—none of it is enough to alter the timeline. "But... "This time, you jumped vertically. "And you ended up here."

He's dead, or was dead; I don't know. Tom revived him; he moves, talks, and eats, but he still reeks of death, and he's not like the zombies. His blood is awful; it almost killed me when I drank it.

Tom: 10 / 10

His blood is the best; no matter how much I bleed him, there's always more. I can't stand him; I hate that he's happy all the time, and the damn idiot caused a fucking supernatural apocalypse and turned Tord into his fucking attack dog.

Tord: 7 / 10

It doesn't taste bad, but it has a weird flavor. I thought it would be easier to drink his blood because he's blind, but he always seems to know what's going to happen before it does; it's annoying. Shoot first and ask questions later. Bullets don't kill me, but I hate when they ruin my clothes.

Mark: 0 / 10

The damned bastard keeps poisoning his blood. I destroyed his entire damn supply of holy water, and it turns out he knows how to make more. He knows I wouldn't kill him; I need him. I only ask to share a little blood from time to time.

Eduardo: 9 / 10

His blood is as good as Tom's, but I'm not going to pay him for it again like last time; I still have nightmares about what I had to do to pay for it.
