SCRIPTURE:

“Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before people, I also will acknowledge before My Father Who is in heaven.  "But everyone who denies Me before people, I also will deny before My Father who is in heaven." ~ Matthew 10:32-33

OBSERVATIONS:

This verse kind of changed for me this morning...

It "went" from being about being "called out" as a believer, and then hemming and hawing instead of "letting my yes be yes..."

...to a realization that my actions and words - even in private - to myself - acknowledge - or deny - Jesus "before people" even more than any "refusal" when confronted...

Of course, Peter publicly denied Him three times...

...and still Jesus claimed him when he realized and repented...

The goal is not to sin...

...and though I will...

...to confess for His forgiveness...

APPLICATION:

Acknowledge Him - in word and deed - before others...

PRAYER: 

Byh, and, in my weakness, cause me, for whatever reason, to deny Him... May Your Holy Spirit strengthen and guide me to living in Your will instead of my own, so that there is NO doubt my life acknowledges His saving sacrifice and Your merciful grace... In Jesus's Name, and for Your worshipful, praiseful glory and honor...
