Math Talks —
See on Scoop.it - Arquitecturas digitales del aprendizaje para una educación 3.0
Access ready-made Math Talks for grades 5-12 to help students solve problems flexibly, talk about their strategies, and build important mathematical ideas.
Oskar Almazan's insight:
Why Use Math Talks? Students practice making their thinking visible, constructing viable arguments, and making sense of the collective mathematical thinking of the class. Math Talks help to develop a culture of classroom discourse by valuing students’ mathematical thinking, fostering meaningful mathematical discussions, and developing students’ mathematical flexibility. Math Talks help us see our students as mathematical thinkers and reasoners by eliciting and then building on the mathematical thinking (however informal the language may be) that our students bring to our classrooms. The Math Talks structure provides an accessible format for critical elements of a learner-centered classroom, including an explicit focus on building procedural knowledge from conceptual understanding and facilitating meaningful mathematical discourse.

I'm completely illiterate in math yet I still have an A- I'm now a god
With as many calories as they have, I will take all the weight in the world for the Arab pastries if it means I never have to see a math again. I mean I am grateful for one here Dear mother of baby dragons, why, these pastries are good
Good luck with your final!! You will nail it!! 🌠🎆✨🎈🎇
Thank you so much!! I just finished my last final yesterday in topology, and I ended up taking three hours on it, ahah. I think I did well though! We received our midterms back just a few days ago and I got an A, so hopefully that’s a good indication I’ll get an A for the course! ;v;
Of course, even with school being over, I’m unfortunately still busy with applying to graduate schools ;__;
