Like, I looooveee that their relationship is representative of the asian family pressure over sucess and results in various sides of life, all the while it is incredibly clear that Popee dislikes his dad in various levels for various reasons -I honestly don’t blame him because I'd hate my dad too if he were like this-, although Papi seems to care very little to that or just doesn’t pay enough attention to Popee's feelings enough to realize that.

The idea of selling Papi's soul instead of his own is like Popee's way of getting his dad out of the way so he can go ahead and live his own life, but it's also him getting rid of the physical representation of his trauma, only to continue to live with the impacts of it -in this case the impacts are represented by him having to work in D&D for the rest of his life (I'm assuming that's what the deal was about since I believe there’s no cannon source to say what it was exactly) since it derives from the deal itself-

But it's also like, if Popee offers to sell his father’s soul instead of his own for a deal, and Boron accepts it, then what else can one offer that belongs to someone else for a deal of their own? Maybe there’s some form of cannon info about it that makes it a special case that I don’t know about, but I think it's a good thing to explore. How far goes the line of what a demon can accept or demand for a deal?
