Big Berserker Lady missing her Kamura buddies(MHWilds)

Featuring my half giant Beth Ravencoft, her palico Solveig, and Fugen and Utsushi from MHRise

Wanted to sketch something before the title update drops, aslo wanted to make a bit of piece lamenting something Im not happy about in MH Wilds, something I was super excited to make a return after how it was integrated in Sunbreak. The follower system.

I really dont like how watered down of personality it is in this game. In sunbreak we had quests to increase our bonds with companions and unlock some, each one of them had a fun distinct personality and they had different interactions with eachother and we could choose different weapons for them, I honestly loved all of them. In WIlds, while mechanically solid, we only have 3 main hunters, and the only one fleshed out is Olivia. Rosso and Anessa and the other one are incredibely bare bones and Rex, Cobb and Fabius are not even options.

Honestly all they had to do is give us some random optional quests hunting with them, throw in a random start and end hunt line and it wouldve been enough. I get that these games are made to play with people, but I wanna hang with the NPCs as well.

I only ended up using the NPC hunters on my Bowgunner character save, and stopped after a bit cause I honestly did faster hunts solo, with barely any personality behind them it felt like a waste.

Again its still a solid system mechanically, but I wish it had the quirkiness and personality it had in Sunbreak....I know this complaint might come off as a niche problem or a straight up non-issue for most. But I like the goofy world of Mon Hun, I wanna interact with the characters as much as I like to interact with other player hunters.
