It's okay if you're a writer and you don't have anything solid to present your artist with yet, but making sure communication has begun is the most important thing as of right now!

How often should I be communicating with my partner?

Remember that these events are to inspire collaboration and friendship in fandom! You should ideally be dropping your partner a line at least every week, even if it’s just a very brief message to update them on your progress and check in on theirs. That being said, obviously we’re all individuals with lives and busy schedules. Please do not be offended if you do not always receive quick responses from your partner, and give each other space where necessary!

Claims Form Closed! Matches in Progress!

As of today, we have officially received a submission to the claims form from every signed up artist, so the form is now closed! We are about 80% of the way through the matching process, but will not be sending out matches to anyone until we have finalized everyone. So, what happens next?

With more writers than artists, there were always going to need to be a few artists who were able to take on more than one fic! We had several artists express interest in doing so, and we have tentative matches for the remaining fics. We have reached out to the artists in question to confirm their willingness to take on that second fic and, depending on their answers, we will either finalize those matches, or find alternative matches.

🚨 Artist Sign Ups & Writer Proposals Are Coming to a Close! 🚨

This is a final reminder that artist sign ups close at 11:59 PM EST today, and the writer proposal form closes at 11:59 PM EST tomorrow!

Until then, artists can sign up HERE, and writers can submit their proposals to the form sent to them via email. If you are signed up as a writer but cannot find the email with the proposal form, send the mods an email at [email protected]!

Once the proposals form closes, the mods will finish compiling the proposals doc and email it to signed up artists on Tuesday morning, so you can peruse the proposals and start thinking about which fics you might be interested in working with. We encourage you to do this prior to the start of the claims process on Thursday, May 8th!
