Trying out metallic frames on a couple of small pieces. Sometimes the simplicity of a botanical is nicely enhanced with metallic. Here’s a look at the “Winter Shadows” series. I’ve really enjoyed making these small paintings—it has become almost meditative for me to work on them in my studio. I’ve got a couple more I’d like to include if I have time. The recent cold snap outside and quiet classical piano music in my studio are enough to get me focused on the browns and blues of winter.
