Helloooo ✨
I opened an ask box on my instagram story a few days ago asking what you guys would like me to do more of with my art this year; my good friend @sowrotenicholas requested that I do more marvel designs, a suggestion I was ecstatic to accept. I am more of a DC fan, but I am also a big marvel fan! So to kick off making more marvel deigns along DC ones this year, I started with the man out of time himself, the best patriot of all, Captain American 🫡.
I love the much Captain America suits in the much but what bothers me about them is that they lean too closely to an overly militarized combat outfit look, which isn’t a bad at all—it actually esthetically works super well, but I like embracing the comic esthetic while grounding it in the real world. So I went with this, combining several inspirations from other Captain America designs across his comic and non comic history as well as real world military gear.
I’m quite proud of this; I hope you guys like it as much as I do. If you have any criticisms/feedback to give, let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts. Thank you for all your support!
