The sun was setting, and that meant it was time for Blade to get up and start his work. But you didn't want him too, so you didn't let him get up by any means possible.
"Baby, I need you to let me go." He mutters patting your arm that's wrapped around his shoulders.
"Noo, stay with mee." Your words drawl, and your hold on his only tightens. "I don't like when you're gone at night."
"But baby, that's when I do my job," he shifts over to lay on his side, looking over your face gently, "I protect the night, remember?"
You groan and move to wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him in so you could press kisses over his face.
"That's Marc's job." You whisper, pressing a kiss against his lips. His chuckle from your comment reverberates through you.
His arms wrap around you and pull you closer, his face resting against yours and he's rubbing up on you like a cat starved for affection.
"Alright," he whispers, "just five more minutes."
He lets out a yawn, and leans down to rest his head on your shoulder, the scent of you providing him a comfort he couldn't find anywhere else. A comfort that allowed him to fall asleep as fast as turning off a light.
It doesn't take you long to follow, holding him close and enjoying his presence as the two of you cuddle up to each other. Him leeching off your warmth.
Is it gay to have your fellow moon knight be the center of the moon? Ya know? The thing you worship? Is it gay that your team mate eclipses the literal god your work under, and metaphorically takes priority over?

I'm just straight up grieving over the MCU. Like, I know I'm not going to see Doomsday. I can't just give them money and reward them for canceling every Black-led project they have and sidelining Sam Wilson just to bring back Steve Rogers for no reason.
Blade was a lay-up, man. That would've been so easy to do, and so instantly popular. And with how en vogue Black vampires are right now??? Like, what a fucking fumble, bro. Sinners and IWTV/TVL are the two biggest vampire media things out right now, and both prominently feature Black vampires, and the hunger and appetite for it is so obvious. And Blade is already an extremely popular Marvel character across demographics with a built-in fanbase. And you had Mahershala Ali. That movie would've been a hit on vibes alone.
Then, to cancel Wonder Man after you already greenlit season two, and apparently right before the team was about to start writing all the episodes for season two this month. And after the first episode was already written. All of them signed contracts. The show is Emmy-nominated. And they tried to bury the cancellation under the hype for Spider-Man....
IDK, I'm frustrated. I have been for a while. Like, after what they did to Sam's Captain America movie, I did not go see Thunderbolts or Fantastic Four. I have since seen them both on streaming, but only because I was intending to watch Doomsday. Now, I'm just feeling done with the MCU.
And I'm tired of douchebro racist fanboys gaslighting us about it, too. Every goddamn time a Black character appears in this universe, they either get their show/movie canceled, it's sabotaged or poorly made so that people can have the benefit of the doubt for not supporting it, or they get sidelined for their white counterparts. The ONLY example they have to the contrary is Black Panther, and that's because Ryan Coogler doesn't miss and because Black people banded together to see it in droves. And guess what? White douchebros still tried to make us "admit" that the movie was "bad." They're doing that with Sinners, too. They do it with every popular Black-led movie that becomes mainstream. They'll wait a while and then say "Are you ready to admit that it isn't actually that good, yet?"
And this is who Marvel is bending the knee to. The guys who freak out every time someone is non-white, a woman, or queer. They're even calling Spoiler Character from the new Spider-Man movie "overpowered" because she's a girl, even though she is canonically one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, period. It's TIRING and these assholes are ruining the storytelling by being so racist and sexist and homophobic that they convince Feige that fans don't want to see certain characters again, so now all we have is bringing back Chris Evans and RDJ because y'all are BORING.
