I think maybe BDubs’ fascination with Martyn this season could also have something to do with how they’re both time related in ways. Like, BDubs gets a clock for allyship in basically every season, and both of Martyn’s wins are in seasons related to time. Hmmmmm………

On topic of Martdubs, i think on several of their “danger trips” however many there were, Martyn has tried to kill BDubs multiple times but somehow BDubs hasn’t died until they went on the last one with Scar, and BDubs was well aware Martyn was trying to kill him but stayed (and kept coming back) for the thrill

it’s genuinely surprising to me how i haven’t found many people who ship them, especially after past life. when Martyn became red, bdubs kinda became like drawn to him almost and they had that strange kismesis/moirails yaoi going. where bdubs is actively aware that he literally cannot trust martyn but still goes along with him several times. literally even scott - who was martyns former teammate - advises bdubs not to go there. and he does

they had moments before Past life too, there was one in wild life where bdubs like confronts him about the staring (since martyns ability was listening, except he had to stare at people to hear what they’re saying) in ep7 and it’s great.

overall i think there needs to be waaay more martdubs fans in this fandom. consider. Consider the possibilities, everyone.

i just watched episode 7 of martyn's past life and you are SO RIGHT it is unreal!!! i love how popular martyn is with the others lifers this season lol. bdubs just follows him around like a loyal soldier despite having no obligation because he likes the idea of it. and he's so excited about it too!! he likes the danger of it,,, my freaks i love them.

and the added context of past majorwood really does make it that much more compelling,, like scott knows what he's talking about. he knows how dangerous martyn can be - he saw limited life!! he was with martyn the whole time, and martyn still betrayed him at the end. and martyn might be different now, but how much could he really change?

besides, bdubs is yellow. martyn could kill him without a second thought. but he doesn't. and maybe that makes bdubs trust him a little bit more. he's so desperate for validation it's crazy,,,
