Marte Um (2022) dir. Gabriel Martins
MARTE UM (2022) dir. Gabriel Martins Deivinho, is on the cusp of adolescence. Curious and imaginative, his dream is to become an astrophysicist and join a Mars One mission in 2030 in order to begin colonizing the red planet. His older sister Eunice tentatively flirts with adulthood. She chafes against traditional family roles and the idea of remaining homebound, especially after finding romance with another young woman. Eunice fears telling her parents; her traditional father, Wellington, who often imposes his own aspirations on his children, and her mother Tercia, who often plays the role of family mediator and also works hard as a housekeeper to pay the household bills.
