Tonight he talked deeper into what happened in our first moments. When we met each other. How he felt when he gave me his number. The first time I called him. Our first dinner together without uniforms or business in the way. Our first official date outside of camp (which was in Banff and at this gorgeous restaurant) And so on…
I think it is so unbelievably sweet of him to open up like that. To hear his thoughts and what his dreams were after those firsts. How they evolved into a deep love towards me. Then, we experienced our first cross Canada road trip and how he felt after that. The way the words came out of his mouth were so eloquent and romantic.
It made me realize, this is the man I want to marry, raise a family, and live life with. No sooner after that thought came through my mind that he was saying the same thing to me. Yes, we’ve talked about it, but there are moments when you both truly mean it and that’s when it comes true.
At least that’s what I think anyway. All I know is that I want this man for the rest of my life. And that dream will be coming true sooner rather than later.
