ok now I know no-one cares about the manhunter solos (not you kate you have your diehard stans and absolutely deserve them <3) but i just……hate the retcons in Kate’s series about how they were all just on drugs/used by the government, it feels lazy and boring and maybe I’m just attached to ostrander’s wonderful manhunter run complete with all its played-for-laughs-in-2004 talking lion samurai and stuff; but. I just hate it im sorry, i hate mark’s rapid reentry and then his apparent schizophrenia (?) or breakdown into murder that never gets cleaned up enough for me, i hate the way his supporting cast, his storyline it’s all just kind of dismissed and forgotten and i KNOW that’s just what happens in comics but I’d rather he go back to his friends then idk, have no-one, driving around lackadaisical and also retconning it so all the emotional material and weight of his book was just an elaborate ploy or something.
and someone plz advise me on where this retcon sprung from cause if its solely from the 2004 run, i……..well
