You heard me, YouTubers like Geeks and Gamers, No Bullshit, That Star Wars Girl, Jessi Milestone, Nerdrotic, MechaRandom42, etc. they don’t hate Brie Larson. I know what you’re thinking: “But if they don’t hate Brie Larson, why would they make hundred of videos hating on everything she says or does?”

It’s simple really what they hate is:

What Brie Larson represents and what is to come

Imagine for them: an assertive woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind about equality and social issues and who doesn’t give two shits about what they think/will think about her. Also that kind of woman who plays a character who is:

One of the most powerful heroes in the universe she’s in.

A character who is cocky. Characters like Star-Lord, Doctor Strange and Tony Stark are cocky, but noooo, let’s focus on the woman who has 30 years of cosmic experience and who was able to hold off Thanos for like 2 minutes.

A character who isn’t there to appeal to the male gaze. She isn't sexualized or objectified in any way. When they didn’t have any arguments left, what did they do? They body-shammed her to oblivion, saying that she didn’t have an ass and that she didn’t smile enough. And like I like to say: Body shaming is the weapon of the simple-minded.

It must be a nightmare for them.

Brie is just a vehicle of that hatred. They have to put the blame on something. So there she is saying things and doing things that women can’t do in this day and age. When it isn’t her, it’s Tessa Thompson or Daisy Ridley. They attack the most vocal ones. They are threatened because younger women are standing up and will keep standing up like she does. They are remnants of the old system where women had to conform to a certain role and now that it’s not like that you know...

That people don’t like her, I can understand, there are some actors and actresses that I don’t like, but to the point where you dedicate your entire YouTube channel to make videos about her and shitting on her every chance you get and people commenting hateful things on videos and post about her that just stupid and sad. Do you know what I do when I dislike someone: I just pay them no mind. They are not worth it.

P. S.: It’s strange how they are talking and hating on Brie for having strong opinions, but not Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, RDJ, Don Cheadle... I wonder why...
