I'm reading 'the red house' by Mark Haddon whose books I usually love but this one feels like it's endlessly circling the point. It's probably about some quiet epiphany about human behaviour but this is truly a trying book to get through.
ok rambling a little because I'm not usually a reader at all bc i read VERY slow and i know more reading probably will help with that but unless I'm really interested in a book or it's short i probably am not finishing the book. HOWEVER. i recently started reading the curious incident of the dog in the night-time bu mark haddon and i am genuinely IN LOVE with how it's written/formatted/etc. chapters are so short that some only go on 1-2 pages, paragraphs are short and easy to read, but it's not in a childish way, it's well written but it's easy to read. the narrator/main character is autistic and i can relate to/understand some of the things he talks about feeling/experiencing and the plot is interesting and OHH I'm loving it sososo much. also just a neat detail that the chapters are only labeled in prime numbers bc the mc likes prime numbers.
tldr, I'm not a big reader and this book is formatted in a way that I'm reading it faster than I've read any non-graphic novels before and it's making me very happy that i like the story and can read it easily so i hopefully won't be left behind in class
