just found out Marissa Bode kept a journal from Nessa’s perspective while preparing to play as her and oh my god the ideas she shared are so good??? in Nessarose’s journal, she wrote about Glinda and Fiyero becoming Madame Morrible’s minions, becoming a part of her schemes to capture Elphaba and how she (Nessa) doesn’t know what side she’s on. she also wrote about Nessa once feeling accepted and a part of the friend group but now feeling like the others only tolerated her because they’re friends with Elphaba, and how she felt burying her father and feeling betrayed by Glinda and Fiyero because they only sent flowers to her after her father’s death and didn’t come see to her in person. i LOVE that!!! Marissa is always coming up with the best character studies/ideas for Nessa.

i hope Marissa Bode does horror movies in the future and gets to play more complex characters or villains. she’d do such a good job
