Kira was surprised when she got the gift from Yumeko because Riri usually gets the "gifts" from their dad, so that's why she tried so so so hard to solve it
Riri did have a crush ish on Mary before she fell from her spot, but more of in the way that she noticed that Mary wore a facade; like her, but yet so different. She noticed that (if this analogy makes sense) Mary's "mask" was half off. Mary was a liar yet so honest at the same time. And Riri wondered what that was like.
