There is a variety of blackberry named after Marion county, called a Marionberry. When i first heard of it, years ago, i thought it was named in honor of the politician Marion Barry, but as it turns out it was given that name when he was in college and not yet well known. . . Medicinally, all parts of the plant but especially the roots are astringent.
