i'm not deep in the sotr trenches but silka & maritte seem to be popular, @janecresca asked for them so i delivered!

(the only other Clove ship that I haven’t touched on is the fact that I have a seen Clove x Thresh tag so I know it exists, but if anyone comes near me with that, I’m going to open my mouth and scream)

14. Katniss x Cato

I had never in my life considered this and had I not seen it on TikTok, it would’ve never occurred to me. Now you guys know I refuse to ship Cato with anyone but his wife, but this idea was new so it was kind of intriguing to me. And guys I tried. I really tried, but I hate it. I just so severely really don’t like it :(

13. Glimmer x Cato

I will never be on board with this ship. My initial exposure to the fandom was also very anti-Glato, and while I’ve grown from the 2012 fanfiction mindset of hating Glim Glam (love her now) I still absolutely despise this ship, I cannot possibly see it. I did debate this ranking, but I’m going to go with that even though it’s one of the few ships I actively dislike, it’s not dead last because I like when it’s used well to create tension in Clato fics

12. Haymitch x Effie / Haymitch x Lenore Dove

is it bad to say I honestly just didn’t care? I’m not really a Haymitch fan, and I really liked the new book, but I did not feel attached to his character and so the ships mean nothing to me

11. Clove x Peeta

I’m not entirely sure where this came from, I’m pretty sure it emerged as like an extension of Cato x Katniss, but I could be wrong. For this one I just don’t see the appeal, there’s no spark there for me, I think some of the reason people get behind it is because they find Clove and Katniss similar, so it definitely goes above the Cato ships for me, but otherwise not a fan

10. Clove x Marvel

this one may very likely be moved, and oh boy is this a throwback as well, I have genuinely not heard someone mention this in years, I’m only here for it when she’s using Marvel to make Cato jealous, but like also that’s a gay man oh my god I just cannot see it in any serious way, but to me it’s more amusing than upsetting.

9. Lucy Gray x Snow

this gets a spot above the Haymitch ships and a few of the crack ships purely because I really like her as a character, and and although I don’t agree with this pairing because ew Snow, it’s a lot more interesting to me

8. Clove x Katniss

if you guys can’t tell, I spend a lot of time thinking about Clove, and while they would realistically end up hating each other they’re both way too hot-headed in a way that does not really suit each other, I see the appeal because I love wlw Clove, plus seeing Clove on top of Katniss was MY gay awakening, so maybe it was Katniss’ too 🤭

7. Glimmer x Marvel

I’ve read a lot of fics with this ship in it, but honestly, Glarvel is just kind of there because I like Clato. And that’s fine, and it’s fun for sure, but it’s absolutely nothing special (feel free to try to change my mind if anybody’s a diehard fan though)

6. Finnick x Annie

Don’t get me wrong they’re really cute, but I was never super into them, I was also notably never obsessed with Finnick as a character, like he’s wonderful, but he doesn’t haunt me, so solid, but not life-changing for me

5. Silka x Maritte

despite having literal crumbs about them, I’m kind of obsessed, you guys know my favorite character characters are always career tributes, and to have a heavily implied canon wlw career relationship is everything to me

4. Peeta x Katniss

despite every character I adore most being a career tribute, Everlark is the world to me. The dynamic is perfect and the growth is incredible, I have also always not only been team Peeta but been team anti-love triangle, because there never was a love triangle. There was only ever one choice, and it was PEETA.

3. Clove x Glimmer

I actually only recently got into this, but oh my GOD. While I don’t think it was canon, I’m obsessed with the dynamic, and I very strongly headcanon Glimmer as lesbian & Clove as bisexual, so seeing them in a wlw ship is absolutely perfect, a little bit of jealousy a little bit of initial hatred, but they also really want to hook up, PERFECT

2. Cashmere x Enobaria

debated for a very long time about whether this is my #2 or #3, but I eventually decided it’s my number two because the fact that they had years together BEING VICTORS is just so much insane longing and devastating potential, plus convinced that they’re actually canon.
