So this is a commissioned piece I did for someone awhile back. It was certainly one of the most challenging drawings I've done due to the level of accuracy needed on the anatomy of the skull. It took a number of attempts to try match up both halves of the face so it looked natural, the mouth was particularly difficult. This is also the largest work I've done to date. While I worked on it I decided to call the polar bear Harvey and he now lives happily in Canada!

I love how the light in this shot picks up all of the textures. The sky sparkles, mimicking an incredible starlight sky far away in the wilderness. ***Day 2 - of #marchmeetthemaker How you started *** I've always been creative, drawing painting and just generally making. I remember my mum always doing stuff with me and my brothers on weekends and school holidays. So it's been in me to make my whole life. Textiles was a total accident, I was choosing A Level subjects and was still unsure which direction to go art or music so wanted to do both, graphics clashed with music so my art teacher said give textiles a go if you hate it try something else... obviously I didn't hate it! Prior to that I think we made a cushion in year 7 at school and I didnt enjoy it ha. Supermarket Stitch was born out of my final year project at Huddersfield University and carried on afterwards taking me to all over England and the world talking about and showing my work.
