Three concept drawings, out of 7 that I did for a magazine cover some years ago. The three concept drawings are my favorite out of the 7 that I did. The magazine editor picked the bottom left and I started to think about the best way to do this in color. I started out by redrawing the perspective and then played around with some of the background elements to make them more fun and still give the effect that this was in a factory. Since I came from a Union family, I put the letters ULW on his hat, which stood for United Leprechaun Workers. In the color version background, upper right you can see that some of the machine resemble human faces.
