George stretched and rolled over to glance at his alarm clock, normally the harsh noise would force him awake, a shock to the system. It would allow him to get up, exercise, and shower, all before Lance even rolled out of a morning. Having woken naturally his felt disorientated, we wasn't a fan of the disruption to his routine.

It took several moments to blink away the fogginess and actually read the glowing numbers on his alarm clock. Seven fifteen it said in harsh red lines. He rolled over to complain to Lance, but his side of the bed was empty. Lance rarely rose before eight and that was usually with George's nagging. It was a shock to see that Lance had actively rose before him.

George climbed out of bed and padded to the bathroom to empty his bladder and splash water on his face. He then walked to the kitchen, where Lance was happily humming to himself as he flipped a pancake. Another unusual sight, Lance wasn't usually one to cook.

George slowly crept towards his partner, wrapping his arms around Lance's waist and pressing a kiss to his temple. "Good morning."

"Hey," Lance replied. "You should still be in bed."

"Maybe I can be persuaded to return," George said, as he ran his hands down Lance's sides.

"Stop," Lance caught a hand with his own. "Let me finish these."

"What's the occasion?" George asked, and Lance turned to look at George as though he had missed something important. "What?"

Lance raised a brow before he let out a bark of laughter. "I can't believe this."

"What?" George said, completely amused at the situation but likely in a different way to Lance. "Tell me?"

"It's our anniversary, George," Lance grinned at him.

George frowned. "No, that's next Sunday." He was almost certain of that.

"Nope," Lance said, almost gleeful. "Twelve months ago, you pulled me into that closet, placed a hand over my mouth and told me 'to keep quiet'."

"That's not our anniversary—"

"You kissed me to shut me up."

"I—"

Well Lance technically wasn't wrong. George had kissed him in an effort to silence him, not that it helped at all. Instead of hushing Lance up, it had just made him shriek out 'what the fuck, dude?'

"So what do you count as our anniversary then?" Lance asked as he turned back to finish the pancakes.

"Our first date," George said as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

After the kiss George had spent days over analysing the situation. The kiss itself had been life changing for George, though Lance had laughed and told him he was being silly when he had finally asked. George chuckled to himself before pressing another kiss to Lance's hair.

"Happy anniversary, love," He murmured into the fluffy brown locks. "We'll celebrate again next weekend."

"We better," Lance said as he plated up their breakfast. "I'm expecting to be wined and dined."
