Jablonski “Soul Makossa (Part 1 and 2)” 1973
I know nothing about Jablonski but I do know the magnificent original “Soul Makossa” by Manu DiBango”! This is a weird cover with some soulful backing vocals thrown in. It’s Jamaican I think this arrangement owes more to Isaac Hayes than reggae. It’s fun and will have a spot the next time I have the opportunity to pretend I’m a DJ.
