Theme: First crush chaos, trying and failing to act cool.

Tone: Fun, cheeky, full of heart-fluttering and goofy smiles.

Setting: School — S.Coups is the popular senior secretly head over heels for you.

Seungcheol was supposed to be the cool senior everyone admired.

Captain of the basketball team, effortlessly charming, the guy everyone looked at in the hallways.

Keyword: supposed to be.

Because when it came to you?

He was a complete, embarrassing mess.

The first time you smiled at him across the courtyard, Seungcheol practically flew into a wall trying to wave back.

The second time you said hi, he stammered out a “h-hello” so awkwardly that the underclassmen near him actually giggled.

The third time?

He dropped his entire lunch tray because you just had to compliment his new haircut.

Every time you so much as looked in his direction, inside his brain, it was full fireworks:

“Mansae!

Oh my God, she looked at me!

What do I do with my hands?!”

Seungcheol decided he needed a plan.

Step 1: Be cool.

Step 2: Impress you.

Step 3: Confess like a man.

Simple, right?

(Absolutely wrong.)

He waited for the perfect moment — after school, when the halls were quiet, pretending to lean all casual against your locker like he wasn’t five seconds from passing out.

You walked up, backpack slung over one shoulder, flashing him that bright smile.

“Hey, Seungcheol!”

He completely forgot every word he had practiced.

“Uh — h-hi! I mean — you’re — uh — do you like, um, stuff?”

You blinked.

He wanted to die.

You smiled wider. “Yeah. I like stuff.”

He laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck, cheeks bright red.

“Cool. Cool cool cool. I, uh, I think you’re… very… you know. Cool. And stuff.”

You bit back a giggle.

“Are you trying to say you like me?” you teased.

Seungcheol practically short-circuited.

“Yes! I mean — if you want! If you don’t that’s fine! But if you do — mansae!”

You burst out laughing.

Seungcheol covered his face with his hands, groaning. “I am so bad at this.”

You gently tugged his hands away so he would look at you.

“It’s okay,” you said, grinning. “I like you too.”

For a moment, all he could do was stare at you, eyes wide.

Then — unable to stop himself — he threw both fists in the air and shouted:

“MANSAE!!”

Everyone in the hallway turned to stare.

You laughed so hard you had to lean against the lockers for support.

Seungcheol didn’t care.

He had the biggest, dopiest smile on his face as he looked at you.

Because somehow, despite everything —

despite all the awkwardness and stammering —

he had won your heart.

And in his chest, it was all fireworks and celebration and one very loud, very happy:
