Scream Blacula Scream has some fun Pam Grier bits (trying to use “voodoo” to cure Mamuwalde) but a lot of the rest of the movie is too reminiscent of The Return of Count Yorga. Marshall remains amazing and there’s some good sequences but nothing hits like some of the original’s iconic images.

During the 1970s “Blaxploitation” movies became popular called. They were targeted at African American audience although they sometimes included stereotypical element.
“Blacula” was released in 1972. t featured William Marshall as Mamuwalde, an African prince, turned into a vampire by Dracula. When he awakens in the 1970s he searches for the reincarnation of his long dead wife. Meanwhile he causing havoc in the city.
“Scream Blacula Scream” a sequel was released a year later.
