Last February 1 2020, The Los Angeles Lakers had played their first game after the devastating loss of one of the legends of basketball, namely Kobe Bryant. The LA Lakers paid tribute by wearing the jerseys of #8 and #24 during their warmups on the court and they were being introduced on how Kobe Bryant introduced during those days. Lebron James had a introductory speech before the game.
Life has played a very cruel game with the Bryant family. Nobody in a million years could have taught that he would be taken away from his family and the world. They might be thinking about having dinner that night and watching the Grammy’s. No one thought death would strike their home that night. That got me thinking,death should first knock and ask permission and take that person away after giving an intimation about it.
Vanessa was a Wife till Sunday, today she is a widow which she wouldn’t have ever imagined. Navigating through life would be so difficult now. There would be painful and tearful thanksgiving,new years eve,Christmas,Halloween,easter and all other festivals. I can’t imagine how they will have family dinners and lunches. He wouldn’t be there to see his three daughter’s graduate from school and college nor their weddings or their accomplishments.
The youngest daughter Capri (7 months old) won’t be able to know her father and how he was and who he was except from other people’s mouth.
It’s just sad that death strikes unexpectedly. You are fine one moment,you are heartbroken the other. Death should come knock at the door. Tell them to say goodbye to the loved one’s and then take them away. It’s heartwrenching.
