“Er …” The low voice trailed off, then sighed with a great rush of breath and showed no signs of proceeding.

He flicked a glance to Roz, who was rolling her eyes, then leaned a bit closer to the microphone. “This is Dr. Frasier Crane. You’re on the air. Would you like to tell me why you called today?”

Aziraphale’s eyes shoot open.

“Angel,” Crowley says, low.

Crowley may not be able to name the tight feeling in his chest when he thinks about Aziraphale, but the angel is in pain and he's an experienced Aziraphale-Problem-Solver.

Your new profile pic is, at a glance, similar to that of oofpoetry, so I started reading this going, ‘that’s a kinda weird poem…’

(re: examples of revision processes) Interesting–I hadn’t thought of looking this far back or at a work this long, but it’s a possibility, for sure.

yep I do this. I think I'm five or six deep with books I've "been reading" for over a year.

I just realized that I forgot about The Buried Giant, which I started reading in March and which should have formed the outermost shell of this nested set of books-in-progress. It isn’t even very long, but it fell to the fate of being the last book I started while on vacation, so I got home and let it sit in my luggage for a while and lost momentum.

This is a fascinating idea. There's an event going on here that's loosely structured around tarot but involves interactions between one audience member and one cast member, and this seems potentially relevant. (I thought I wouldn't have time to go, but I kept thinking about it, so now I'm going.)
