When does Cliff turn down high paying clients? Like that makes him say: “ehhhh… I’m good.”?
I could kinda imagine it being because of a lady client, if a dude said that he’s into what Cliff would consider “messed up stuff” beforehand, or like… If the person was unhygienic?🤔🤔🤔
I think tbh 90% of the time hes going to be giving a handjob or a blowjob, you can do that easily in a car or hidden location and you dont need a room, so it's good for street work.
Otherwise, he'd do most things, moreso when he was homeless or living in squats. He might regret some things, they might revolt him, but he'd probably have a hard time saying no to an hour or so of discomfort for a lot of money.
I think when he’s not desperate he’s more discerning, and it’s a little more like cruising, but still, he’s a thrill seeker and he likes a challenge and sometimes bites off more than he can chew.
The 'messed up stuff' in the confession comic was slightly inspired by this scene in city of night (John Rechy) where the character kind of feels like...hes being seduced into inflicting harm and he hates himself for enjoying it even for a moment. I don't think it's so much the inflicting harm, but the sliding into that role of Wanting to hurt someone. I imagine it was something like that where cliffs personal disconnect from the work was challenged and he felt tainted, like he couldn't redeem himself, so turned to eugene, and confession.
